Agent Westfield is a character portrayed by Lyle Lovett in the ABC crime series Castle.
Agent Westfield, first name not given, appears (or does he?) in "Close Encounters of the Murderous Kind" as Castle's tongue-in-cheek homage to the Men in Black, X-Files, and every other CIA-adjacent government conspiracy unit theory that Castle has ever floated.
At one point he is a seemingly viable suspect in the murder of Marie Subbarao, but, to Castle's transient chagrin, he is soon off that list. Of more lingering concern to the great author is that he requests a final, private word with Beckett before slipping back into the shadows, and she refuses, on security grounds, to divulge the substance of that exchange.
