Arye Gross is an American actor who plays medical examiner Sidney Perlmutter on Castle.
Gross was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Sheri and Joseph Gross, who was an aerospace engineer and later worked in business. He rose to fame as the only regularly appearing male friend of Ellen DeGeneres' "Ellen".
In 2000, Gross became Managing Artistic Director of Stages at Los Angeles' Stages Theatre Company in Hollywood.
