Bad Santa[1] is the tenth episode of the seventh season of Castle. This episode is the last episode of 2014 and is also the mid-season finale until 2015.
Summary[]
When an ER physician is gunned down in the street, Castle and Beckett soon discover that the victim was a mob doctor to a Mafia family run by an old friend of Castle's. Also, against the backdrop of Christmas, Esposito and Lanie reach a defining moment in their relationship.

- This is the second Christmas-themed episode and the fourth holiday one.
- Lanie introduces her parents – Walter and Melinda Parish – to Castle, Beckett, Ryan, and Esposito.
