Debbie Parker is a flight attendant with a crucial role in the murder on the last flight she served on in the episode "In Plane Sight".
Debbie's whole life was about planes. She loved her job at Oceanic Air, but as a result never really had time for other endeavors, such as settling down and starting a family. Just as Debbie was getting to retire after 30 years of loyal service, the airline restructured, causing her to lose her pension. She felt betrayed and came to particularly resent Aaron Rich, an auction house apprentice she served monthly on the passenger flights who was paid to transport expensive and priceless items, even having his own security. Debbie then hatched a plan to steal Oceanic Air's latest shipment from Aaron.
Air Marshall Kyle Ford was assigned to watch over Aaron's delivery of a self-winding Celestialis timepiece worth $13.3 million. Conveniently, Kyle's girlfriend, Marilyn Singer, had been recently fired from Oceanic Air and was spying on him out of fear of infidelity due to his double duty, while another passenger, Aiman Haddad, was placed on terrorist watch because his cousin joined ISIS, spurring him to fly under a fake passport so he could visit his dying mother in Syria. Debbie decided this was a perfect setup to create diversions so she wouldn't be caught in her heist.
Debbie bought a burner phone with Marilyn's credit card, which she used to lure Kyle to the cargo hold with threats of a terrorist attack on the plane. Then she drugged Aaron's drink and swapped out the Celestialis with a replica. It went as planned until Ford saw Aaron unconscious and followed Debbie down to the cargo hold again. Fearing the risk of being found out, she struck Kyle with a left-handed blow to his head, killing him instantly. Debbie then cleaned up the mess, pulled items out of one suitcase, stuffed them in others, and shoved Ford's corpse inside to buy time.
When her fellow crew members noticed Ford missing, she nonchalantly reciprocated their panic and assisted in the search, personally leading Richard Castle, hired NYPD consultant for the onboard investigation, to a dead Kyle and helping his daughter Alexis with the subsequent investigation. With the cockpit locked to protect the pilots, Debbie and the crew were on full alert with discretion to not alert the passengers. A couple of gay honeymooners taking pictures led to Aiman, who was taken into custody under suspicion of terrorism, though his account of the last time he saw Ford checked out. Then the threatening texts were uncovered, and not only did Marilyn's card come up on the purchase, she was left-handed. When Kyle's gun was found in her purse, she was arrested as well despite her protests that she knew nothing about the plot.
Castle believed Marilyn and thus spoke with his team back in New York, who found out about Kyle's hired security work for the Celestialis. Aaron was woken up after he was identified, coming out of his drugged stupor. Castle saw the knob on Aaron's watch and realized it was a fake. When he and Alexis deduced a crew member would have access to passenger information to pull off the frame jobs, they went through who could've served Aaron the drink. When Farrah Darwaza, his usual server, was eliminated because she was on the opposite aisle, Debbie revealed herself, holding out Kyle's gun in front of everyone.
She bitterly confessed to everything while staring people down from the barrel. Debbie explained that she just wanted to secure her retirement and never meant to commit any violence; Kyle and Aaron weren't supposed to notice the watch was stolen until the flight was over, but Ford was on to Debbie so she killed him out of desperation. Despite Castle's fears, Alexis appealed to Debbie that while what Oceanic Air did to her was unfair, this isn't who she is and she shouldn't endanger any more innocents. Debbie relented and allowed Alexis to take Kyle's gun from her before peacefully surrendering. After Marilyn and Aiman were released, Debbie was left in the cargo hold to await her arrest once the plane landed.
