Gina Torres is an American actress who plays Penelope Foster on Castle.
Torres is perhaps known for her many television series she has appeared in, but she is probably best known for her role on the short-lived TV series Firefly as Zoe Washburne. Also, she co-starred with Castle star Nathan Fillion on Firefly.
Torres is currently playing Jessica Pearson on USA network TV show Suits.
Personal life[]
Torres is married to actor Laurence Fishburne who she met while they both were filming the second Matrix film "The Matrix Reloaded". They married in September of 2002 and had a daughter Delilah born in 2007.

She is the second member of the main cast of Firefly to appear on Castle, the first being her and Nathan's former co-star Adam Baldwin back in the fourth season episode Headhunters.
