Gwenn Harwin is the ex-wife of James Edmund Smith, a former business loan shark who later abandoned his job in favor of working as a Santa Claus in "Secret Santa".
Thanks to her husband's illegal activities at Suncove Funding, Gwenn had both an ideal marriage and lavish lifestyle. On Christmas Eve in 2007, however, Edmund suddenly abandoned Gwenn, along with his job, without any explanation, leaving her confused and heartbroken.
Five years later, James reappeared in Gwenn's life, apologizing for hurting her and revealing his guilt over Suncove Funding's misdeeds. Upon learning of James' intentions of helping the company's victims' lawsuit, a scorned Gwenn decided to kill her former husband, as his actions would mean the end of her luxurious lifestyle. She tracked Edmund to the rooftop of Case Commerce and shot him to death, with his body falling over. Despite Tim Cabot and Michael Case initially being suspected, Gwenn ended up being revealed as the murderess, and she was arrested.
