Michael Connelly is an American author of detective novels and other crime fiction, notably those featuring LAPD Detective Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch.
His books, which have been translated into 35 languages, have garnered him many awards. Connelly was the President of the Mystery Writers of America from 2003 to 2004.
Connelly sometimes appears on Castle as one of Castle's Poker Buddies.
Connelly was mentioned in The Greater Good when Castle considered inviting him to his and Beckett's wedding, Beckett reminded him that they haven't seen each other in over a year and that he wrote a bad review about his last book.
