Otis Williams is a character portrayed by Ray Stoney in the ABC crime series Castle.
Otis was already regarded by law enforcement as a "dirtbag", having a rap sheet of grand theft auto, aggravated assault, and attempted murder. He was accused of the murder of Lyla Addison after being found going for a joyride in her car after her death.
However, when Castle and Beckett became involved in the investigation - after one of the jurors in the trial dropped dead - they discovered evidence that Otis hadn't killed Lyla when questioning him revealed the location of an anomalous fingerprint that led to the identification of the real killer (Otis mentioned adjusting the seat of the car before he could drive it, allowing the team to find a print on the seat for the control used to put it into the position it was in when Otis took it).
Otis had the moral and manifest support of his cousin, Wardell, who at one point seemed a likely culprit for the Joe McUsic poisoning.
