Radford Hayes is a character portrayed by Lochlyn Munro in the ABC crime series Castle.

Hayes was a former black ops member and the true identity of the self-proclaimed patriot who threatened New York with a "dirty nuke" during the events of "Setup" and "Countdown".

Hayes had appropriated the identity of a former brother-in-arms, Kevin McCann, and found work as a taxi cab driver, all to mask his activities creating a dirty bomb and planting it. Hayes sought to stir up anti-terrorist sentiment across the US, and provoke a devastating conflict with what he viewed as undesirables. To this end, he had ensured that there would be a trail of evidence leading to Amir Alhabi, a one-time Syrian nuclear physicist who worked as a cabbie in New York.

Hayes continued to enact in his endgame during this, even being responsible for trapping Castle and Beckett in a freezer, although they were rescued just in time. Hayes was captured and taken into custody, where he refused to divulge the location of his dirty bomb even under Agent Mark Fallon's interrogation. Despite being captured and unmasked, Hayes had such devotion to his "cause" that he believed, without question, that no one would accept him as the responsible party, not when there was a "Middle Eastern terrorist" available to blame.

Ultimately, Castle was able to deactivate the bomb by pulling out all the wires, which foiled Hayes' scheme, and he currently remains in custody.
