Stacey Collins is a character portrayed by Monica Staggs in the ABC crime series Castle.
Stacey was a matchmaker who, unfortunately, met her maker just before "Nikki Heat" began. Hers is the first body Natalie Rhodes sees while she is shadowing Beckett, in order to soak up the ambiance which will inform her portrayal of Nikki.
Stacey had just recently broken up with her boyfriend, Brad Williams, but a complete rogues' gallery of unsavoury figures rapidly crawl into the light as the dynamic duo delve into her life. Stacey found people, rich people for the most part, life partners, but, in this day and age, that doesn't mean partners for life.
Not long before her death, Stacey had discovered that one client in particular, Bill Wellington, was a serial monogamist with a particularly unlovely trait - he divorced two wives just before their extremely tight-fisted pre-nups were due to expire, and was about to do so to a third, a woman, Tonya, she (Stacey) had introduced him to.
Stacey therefore engaged the services of an unscrupulous PI, Duke Jones, to catch Bill in flagrante, since said pre-nup included an infidelity clause which would cost him $100 million in settlement to Tonya.
Duke set a honey trap, using his assistant Chloe Graves or "Greta Morgan " as the honey in question, and the necessary photographic evidence was acquired. However, Stacey's success inspired her to extend her protection to two other women she had matched up, who were also looking at divorce.
The same trap was sprung on Rich Weiss and Scott Donner, but, tragically, when Donner confronted Stacey in an effort to obtain the evidence which would cost him millions in a divorce settlement, they struggled and she fell backwards onto an iron railing, killed instantly.
